Snow Capped Mountains
A glorious day, cloudless sky with no breeze.
This morning we went to El Ejido to book our dates for Bowling, take a new Trophy back which Al had mis-spelled!!! Anyway they couldn't so anything so we have ordered another and got a discount. Then off to the Bank and a look round the shops. Found some trousers in the sales and Al bought them for me. On hindsight I wish I had gotten another pair as I need some brown ones! May go back.
We usually just do our jobs, have a coffee and then head home, but we had decided as it was so lovely we would stay and have some lunch. So we called in at El Bodega de Jamon, a shop and restaurant near the indoor market. We had a lovely caesar salad and pork fillet in brandy sauce. We will definitely go back.
This afternoon I took myself off to the top of Almerimar to take in some shots of the mountains. This is the Sierra Gador, no skiiing up there, but apparently they practice sled racing with huskies in the winter and in the summer do it with sleds with wheels on. Also there are a variety of snowboarding type events as well. In the foreground you can see some of the plastic greenhouses and to the right a village in the foothills - I don't know which it is - possibly Celin or Cherin!
Extra is taken through an advertising hoarding with Mimosa in the shot.
