Helping Daddy

Dirk has been ticking off jobs that need to be done - a big glaring one being to sort out the step outside our door, which needed granite cutting to make into a step, then cementing in place.  Alex decided to help out this morning with the cementing, which meant plenty of hand washing and ensuring that out of all the things he decides to try for size in his mouth, the cement didn't make it in.  He was a pretty good helper all in all. 

This afternoon we went out for a walk, it was cool enough to go early afternoon, which is a complete treat.  We saw one wildebeest (weird, as they are herd animals), one kudu and one steinbok. Pokey puppy came along as ever and has become firm friends with Alex, who gives a little squeal of delight each morning when he sees her.
