Green thumb might be working

I noticed these tiny leaves  on the stalk of last year's moonflower plant that I left in the pot when I got ready to plant more seeds for this year.

I am hoping it will keep growing so I will have some moonflowers sooner rather than later!   I guess our usually warmer than normal winter (and hardly any frost) kept this thing alive.   I never had one to come back the next year so I am waiting to see what will happen with it.
