Early Blip

An early Blip today. 
By 11 am I shall be in the Cardiology section of Calderdale Royal Hospital, Halifax awaiting to have this device implanted (well, not this one, but one similar). 
It is an Implantable Cardioverter Defibrillator (ICD) and its purpose in life is to monitor and regulate my heartbeat and if anything goes dramatically wrong, deliver an electric shock to restore my heart to a normal rhythm.
I shall be in hospital all day with an overnight stay. Thursday morning the result of the procedure will be checked, and if all is well I shall be released back into the wild on Thursday afternoon.
I will not be allowed to drive for four weeks :-( so I have no idea what my Blips will be over the coming weeks.
