60s Sydney - 2
This is one of the set of slides I bought on eBay years ago, mainly Haymarket and Sussex St in the 60s.
This building was the old Corn Exchange, then used by the PACT theatre.
In fact, in 1968 I stood on the stage here and recited Sylvia Plath poems.
Well, it was the 60s:)
There's an extra of the building as it is now, fifty odd years later.
Sydneysiders will notice that the Pyrmont bridge was still in use, and that mustard jumpers were go!
I'm hosting Mono Monday this month and next Monday's theme is
'The Street'.
