Christchurch, NZ – this is our first visit to this city since the earthquakes which caused havoc and destruction.
 
To me, this photo represents the ‘dark’ areas of sadness where buildings and sites are fenced and waiting or just sitting empty. The light represents the progress and many quirky positives we saw this afternoon/evening.
 
We loved walking around once familiar streets, trying to remember and recognise what was missing or changed. We admire the people and what they are doing to make the city colourful and fun and functional in a full capacity.
 
Now, it is late and it has been a long day so I will be uploading and off to bed. Time on blip is going to be limited for the next few days while we are on holiday – I will visit when time permits and continue sprinkling hearts and stars.
