The birds are back

And who can blame them.

We had snow this morning.  For a while it looked as though it would stick and there was quite a bit of it.

But the sun came out and most of it melted away.

After a day when it was totally silent on the feeders, today they reappeared. Even the blackbird, who  decided that, for a change, he would eat from the bird table.

These two disgruntled chaffinches were trying to tell me that they didn't appreciate my holiday.
