Quiroga Carnitas

We headed to the top of Lake Patzcuaro today to visit the town of Quiroga. According to the internet (which has precious little about this area) Quiroga is famous for two things - a thriving market and carnitas. Shelley was happy to hear about the market and I was all about the carnitas. Neither of us were disappointed! The thriving market had an amazing array of products and was supplemented by streets full of shops. The carnitas were everything advertised. The only difficulty was in selecting from whom to purchase. We eventually picked this guy because he gave us free samples as we walked by. Nothing like a small taste to tempt one to take the plunge. Two tortas please! We are already talking about when we can go back to have another.
