Difficult choice

I took so many photographs of elephant, giraffe, hippos, impalas, cheetah, lions, owls and myriad other wildlife that this was a difficult one to choose. So here we have BK, one of our guides showing just how big an elephant's pelvis is. This one died of old age and all her bones were spread in close quarters and had been there some time.

I've put some of the others I took that day - a tiny malachite kingfisher, a pair of Verreaux's eagle owls, a very handsome Kudu antelope, a week-old elephant with his Mum and a delightful African Jacana or lily-hopper.
