Hot enough to fry eggs on the sidewalk?

The weather here has been very hot for a few days but is it really possible to fry an egg on the sidewalk? I doubt it but I thought I would have a little fun making it look like it is possible. I heated a paving block with a propane torch for at least 15 minutes and I was expecting the egg might even burn. As you can see, the white of the egg slowly cooked. For the last photo I had to cheat some more and cook the top with my propane torch.

I need bigger and more powerful man-tools if I am going to do my cooking this way.
