Art and money

When two or three artists are gathered together the conversation soon turns to – money. So it was today over at Marcelle house, the artist studio complex in Alloa.
With Open Studios only just over three months away it represents an annual event for some to make cash.
 
Derenz- (her creative name)- is already hard at work in her studio preparing for the event. While some of us struggle at marketing, we just don’t like promoting ourselves and asking for money, Derenz is more hard-nosed:” You’ve got to get out there and promote your work.”
 

She is hoping to repeat last year’s success.
