Coal-tit

They are usually too quick to photograph, nipping in for a seed and then whizzing off again, probably to store it somewhere for later.  The peanuts proved more of a challenge, so this one hung around for longer.  It was actually eating it's small morsel of peanut on a branch at the side, but the only decent photos that I got were with it's head down eating - so no detail of the eye.  I also got a few photos of a very aggressive female Siskin that was seeing off all comers on the sunflower hearts feeder but as I was watching from the conservatory the reflections in the glass got in the way of a decent photo.  It's so good to see Siskins and a male Redpoll back in the garden this year.

Tai Chi, followed by sorting out the new bird food into containers and then tidying a few more things away before getting back to the admin for our club submission to the YPU exhibition.  (It's driving me crazy this year  - time to share the workload or hand it over, I think!).

A camera club evening - Nick talking about the way we might change competitions for next year.
