Soviet teeth

I spent the afternoon on a train to Milton Keynes; even when it wasn't actually raining the sky looked pretty much like yesterday's the whole way down the country. Eventually the clouds started to gain a bit more form; this was the view from the hotel in the evening.

I watched a television programme about the history of gymnastics in the Olympics. Interspersed with archive footage were interviews with the original Russian/Czech gymnasts who were by now smartly turned out ladies of a certain age. I was fascinated by the distinctive and highly uniform nature of their teeth - the result of Soviet era cosmetic dentistry I suppose.
