Billy, not feeling like being a model
Last summer Billy had to have a huge operation that had a limited expectation of success. Not only was it a success but he bounced back to his normal self in days. In November we went back to the vets, with a dog that was full of beans, for a routine follow up, fully expecting him to be signed off. We were devastated to be told that he had numerous new growths on his liver that had appeared since the main operation. The vet did not want to operate on them so soon after the big operation and recommended we wait a few months to assess the situation. Today was the day for the new checkup, very nervous. Well, the tumors are still there but have not increased in size or number. The vets said he was generally in good condition and was the nicest Scottie she had worked on. RESULT.
As he had been forbidden breakfast this morning he was treated to a Greggs sausage roll on the way home. He is currently sleeping off the anesthetic on the settee with a very happy family.
