Hyacinth

This is one of the plants that jumped in the cart and followed me home from the store on the weekend. Although it was not yet open, it is now blooming beautifully and sharing its fragrance. 

It is nice to have this flower indoors as it is cold and windy and snowy outside. Fortunately, the big storm that was expected veered north of the city and we were spared the nasty weather that our Ontario neighbours experienced yesterday.
