The nice sandman of pollenca

Today has been the hottest day ever! Even now at midnight it's a balmy 23 degrees.

Great sleep again, wonder how long they'll continue once I'm back home and into the swing again of the usual stuff.

Lovely breakfast on the balcony and then off to the beach. Too hot for sunbathing so lots more swimming today, the sea here was like warm tap water, and so clear and calm first thing. As I did my usual swim to the green flag and back, it was as calm as a millpond.

Beer time at s'oli verge at lunch. No breeze or clouds as we sat outside there.

More sea and relaxing in the afternoon, then home.

Caught the bus up to port de pollenca tonight. A fab bus ride along the coast, even at 7.30, people still in the sea and on the beach. Loads of people fishing too.

Top meal at hibiscus, gorgeous sea bass.

Then a wander round the square which was buzzing. Packed full of people wining, dining and enjoying the hot summer evening and the entertainment on display. The temp on the way up here on the bus was 35! Wow that's hot.

A few drinks down on the quayside and we encounter two sandmen. A nice one, whose picture I took, and the horrible one, whose picture I wanted to take and pay for, but who chose to be disrespectful to my sister.

Home and yet again a whisky...we need a new bottle for tomorrow!
