Sea Salted Lemon and limes !!
I have made salted lemons before
very easy just slice up the fruit and layer Sea salt fruit and add lemon juice store in a jar,
better with a jar that has a plastic lid as the acid and salt ruin the metals.
I normally use a coffee jar , did not have an empty one,so this jam jar will do for a time but I might have to transfer over.
just keep in a dark cupboard for about a month,and you will see the texture of the fruit will have thickened and soften.then it is ready to use,
lovely in cooking, Chicken,fish,rice , such an intense flavour.
this is the first time I have added limes, the smell was wonderful. and they look very pretty too!.
once open can be kept for up to 2 years in the fridge.
If they last that long He he!
