L went on a school trip today to Blackpool Zoo with nursery. I was a bit nervous about sending her but she had a whale of a time and skipped off the coach holding hands with her best friend (whose mum was looking after the pair of them), huge grin on her face and a cheeky little wave. She tells me her favourite "amimals" were the dolphins who did backflips in the water. They also saw penguins, lions, giraffe, elephants and monkeys. Poor teachers looked completely frazzled by the end of the day! I'm going to try and get her to write a thank you card over the weekend.

In light of the trip, school have casually moved world book day to tomorrow...
