An early larval form?
I was photographing this crocus when I saw this little guy crawling along. I don't what it is unless it is an early dragonfly larva. This has been such a strange winter that anything could be happening. I have seen red winged blackbirds and meadowlarks, so spring is really on the way. When the barn swallows get here, we shall know for sure!
Second thoughts on this insect. It can hardly be a larva because it has wings!
The extra is for pipersmom, the remains of our willow doing sterling duty in erosion prevention.
