A Wee Paddle

A couple of magnificent old paddle steamers at Eagle Street Pier, Brisbane City, still ply their (now tourist) trade up and down the Brisbane River. We moseyed along the beautiful river walkway to the pier to choose from one of dozens of restaurants for lunch. In the end we went for tempura fish and chips and a glass of Chardonnay, while watching the river ferries criss-cross the water. Another amazing Australian city.

Tonight is the final event of my Antipodean tour at North Lakes Library in front of a sellout crowd of nearly 200. Then tomorrow we board a trans-Pacific flight for Los Angeles.
