Pinhole
Inspired by Alison M's blip today, I did some research about getting an IR effect on digital cameras.
I found to my delight that all I have to do is remove the anti-dust panel in front of the sensor on my old SD10 to achieve the effect.
I went and got the SD10 out of the shed and discovered that my screwdrivers didn't fit and the camera had a body cap that I had modified for pinhole shots. (Drill a hole in centre of cap, stick a piece of kitchen foil over hole on inside of cap, make a hole with a pin in the foil.) Couldn't remember ever using it.
So I thought I would test to see if it had ever worked. The weird thing is that exposures shorter than 15 secs came out horribly magenta and yuk. At 15 secs and with some Lightroom help, I'm quite pleased with the effect.
