happy birthday

today was darren's birthday. (i didn't take this photo, dom did). we had to sing happy birthday twice because 5yo holly didn't think we put in enough effort the first time (?!?!) a yummy homemade chocolate butterscotch cake. tomorrow we're off to the city to a maltese/middle eastern restaurant for a family lunch to celebrate.
