Waves at Billiacrue
After a wander up the hill with the dogs I headed off to Stromness to get some horse time. I arrived just in time to shovel some barrows of poop before giving all the geegees a groom...most of them return the favour and muzzle any part of you they can reach.
Chores done, I saddled up Willie, George jumped on Djego and off we went in lovely sunshine. A longer ride than usual, out to Billiacrue and back. Lots for Willie to look at and think about but he was steady as a rock. We had a lovely long trot, Willie's stride extending out nicely as Djego floated in canter beside us.
I then met Gorgeous at Warebeth and we walked the shore, across the rocks to Billiacrue. It was a beautiful day and the dogs loved it. We wandered slowly in places, finding groatie buckies and taking photos. On the way back we watched a couple of otters on the small cliff, one of them broke away and made a dash for the sea. It then milled about in the shallows for 10mins or so, watching us watching it.
A perfect day, just what I needed.
