.........someone who understands.........

This came in the post this morning............from the envelope I thought the writing looked like an old friend from College...............inside was the card.........and inside the card was blank.............but there was a letter folded up inside the card.

It was from an ex-Headteacher I worked with...........I last saw him at a quiz night about a year ago...........before that at a funeral about six years ago.....he had only just found out about Helen and felt that he had to write.

He gave me some advice in his letter..............and he should know..........his first wife died unexpectedly........and he remarried............what I didn't know until I read his letter was that his second wife had also died suddenly!

His advice was..............firstly survive the loss and then, in due course, look to rebuild your life in the best way you can......secondly from his Great Aunt who has lived to be 103......"Look after the living"

What a man......what a friend to take the time to write to me.........what sensible advice.
