Ladies wot lunch

Busy day today, up early cooking cakes.  I must say the beetroot and chocolate cake looks delicious, and Nigella's Victoria Sponge with Cardamom, Marmalade and Creme Fraiche smells fit to eat!  Just scones to do tomorrow and I'm a bit worried I haven't done enough mix and that I didn't put baking powder in it.  Looks like it will be an early start again!

I managed to find time to go out for lunch with some ex colleagues I haven't seen for quite some time.  It was lovely to catch up a bit with what they've been doing. We hope it won't be so long before we next meet up.  Retirement (or nearly!) seems to suit us.
