Bubble Study #3.... &..........

.......Taking for Granted.

Since early this morning  till not long ago our electricity has been off.
The whole neighbourhood went quiet...there was a kind of silence that settled like a soft rain....... It was lovely.
We were warned in advance that it was going to happen and we had planned to go out for the day....however it was so quiet we decided to take advantage of the forced abstinence.

It was funny how many times I switched on a light. (obviously didnt work)..thought to do some washing.....catch up on commenting on blip....check out how the Blackheath Exhibition was going....some experiments taking photos in the kitchen with lights DUH!...
....I was amazed at how much the Electricity and the Internet is hardwired into everything (more or less) that I do.
...I reminisced  about simpler times...living in Asia and India when all we had when the sun went down was  kerosene lamps and mosquito coils.......we played music.....chatted and drank the local lighter fluid into the night. When the wet season came it was the thundering rain and the huge frogs that became the music and entertainment. I am glad to of lived in those times...but I have to say I am glad to live in these times too.

Flynn and I played with bubbles again....a different spider has taken up residence in the sea holly.
