RIP Tony Warren

Earlier this week, Tony Warren (the creator of the long-running UK soap "Coronation Street", first shown on 9th December 1960) died at the age of 79.

So when I was out for a jog in Macclesfield this morning and spotted this street name I thought it was appropriate for today's blip - particularly as the sign is immediately adjacent to a satellite dish for watching television. (I'm sure this particular street wasn't the inspiration for the soap, but never mind!)

Now for a confession. I have never, ever watched Coronation Street. Maybe I should start...?!  ;-)
