Castle Terrace, Chepstow

We visited my mother in law today and took her to Chepstow for an outting.

The castle dates from 1067 and is magnificent. I took masses of photos but was taken with the bow windowed houses of Castle Terrace. Clive said I would not be able to capture them in a decent photo but I think I proved him wrong!

The Castle gift shop was one of the best I've been in. I usually just walk through them but this shop was fab and I bought a beautiful pure wool blanket. Clive found this some what irritating as I have knitted three blankets since Christmas.

We had snow last night and left Devizes under leaden skies but the day mended (as my dad would say) so had lovely, albeit cold, weather.
