Seize The Moment..

Working very early in the morning again and a major rain storm coming in this afternoon I knew my photo opportunities would be limited. While stopping at our central California yard I knew we had two water retention ponds out back. Driving by them I saw movement.

Finishing the job at hand and before moving on I grabbed the camera and took several photos of these lovely birds. I was able to see 7 of them but they blended in so well there might have been more.

Glad I am not hiking or driving in the back country tonight. The have a DO NOT TRAVEL warning for tonight going through Sunday morning. 2-3 feet of snow and 100 mph plus winds over the ridgetops..

Enjoying the chaos from a distance with a day off tomorrow..
