Feeling like a chipati
Okay so today has been very relaxing and chilled here in our new destination of Verkala.
Woke quite early and had a little explore of the beach as we arrived late last night so hadn't seen the lie of the land. All looked nice and chilled if not a bit grey and cloudy.
We then ate breakfast on the beach and managed to read there until about lunchtime when i decided to investigate whether a leg wax was a possibility. It was in about four or five little huts, labelled as 'Beauty Salons - Ladies Only'.
So I made an appointment and crossed my fingers about the whole experience Indian Style. As promised it was quite entertaining. A lovely lady, very professional, waxed my legs as I literally stood in my swimwear in a very public alley way....oh well I'll put that one down to experience.
The rest of the day was very grey, raining and cloudy so in the afternoon we decided to go and reward oursleves with an ayurvedic treatment of some sort.
We opted for a relaxing massage each which was...how can i put it...a bit odd. There was a powercut when we arrived for our appointments so everything was candle-lit and very zen but half way through all power was ressumed and my treatment room turned into a bright dental room or something. Anyhow - we both exchange notes after and both got the same deal....both felt a bit like a chapati after as we were covered in oil and had been kneeded well!
Anyhow - tomorrow we are up at silly o'clock to try a spot of yoga on the top of cliff....should be interesting!
