Enclosed
I had a date with a wardrobe today. Not a romantic date, although I had hopes that I might feel the love at some stage.
Eldest son is staying with me for a few weeks and we had to have somewhere to store all his clothes and things. Mine are still in boxes, but when he leaves I will take possession of this bit of furniture.
It was a flatpack job. My heart sank when I opened up the three huge packages to reveal all the myriad bits and pieces. It ended up consuming most of the day but it does now stand erect and almost full. It looks vaguely like the photo on the web site from which it was purchased - and hasn't fallen down yet. It was at least a good bit of father-son bonding. No cross words and good teamwork. Actually, as flatpack furniture construction goes, this has definitely been one of my better experiences. It had the potential to be a nightmare but it wasn't that bad in the end. It does look quite smart. Perhaps I am feeling a bit of love for it right now!
It was almost tempting to blip the wardrobe today, but I think this is a little easier on the eye. I enjoyed a good run out on the moor for an hour. It was very wet underfoot, but the smattering of snow remaining made for some good photography.
