Signs of the times.

Something a little different today. Who can remember the fabulous signs depicting the famous companies. This gold pestel and mortar denotes the chemist outside of the Boots stores. There were also the large glass flasks with coloured liquid in the windows. Who remembers, I think it was the National Provincial Bank, that had the gold grass hopper above the door. All much more evocative than a cheap, flimsy, illuminated plastic cross.
