Festival of the Arts: closing day

The last day of this 6-day festival included a new act that combined a jazz band (led by former colleagues of mine) with modern dance in a really smooth and well integrated piece (main pic and two of the extras). 

The theater also sponsored a day-long "youth summit" that brings together young people from "hard" neighborhoods and helps them express deeply held beliefs and emotions through dance and story-telling. These events were capped off by moderated 'safe circles' that allowed the participants to talk and ask questions of one another. I love that about that theater :)
