A Park Of Two Halves.

A Victorian Square.

Originally the residents shared the private central garden, like in the film Notting Hill. Then the railings were requisitioned 'for the war effort', then the gardens were taken over by the Council. And neglected for years. And fought over.

Children who wanted to play; dog walkers; people wanting 'peace and quiet'; residents just wanting something nice to look out on; and more.

Then eventually a Friends of the Gardens organisation was set up, and someone had the brainwave to create two half parks.

A peaceful end, with plants and bushes, bird tables, and so on. And the other end. Mainly grass and a couple of picnic tables.

And to divide the one from the other - this bed of shrubs and bushes.

SIMPLES!
