Street

This week the title for Mono Monday is 'Street'
I immediately thought of three locations, two of which meant a longer drive to view them ; the third was a stones throw away in Ilkley. Decided to go there first.
Ilkley is an old spa town and drew many visitors in Victorian times who came to sample the spa water for its healthy properties.
The rich moved out of the nearby industrial cities of Bradford and Leeds and settled here, building large houses often referred to as 'villas.'
The street l've chosen is quite modest compared to its surrounding neighbours as they are actually built on a street, but l liked the mock Tudor style and thought they were more than suitable for mono.
This street is below Ilkley Moor and in the distance you can see Middleton Woods behind which is North Yorkshire and Harrogate.
