A monument to John Thomas Thomas Jonathan "Stonewall" Jackson at the site of the first pitched battle of the Civil War (American, not Irish). Fascinating place, with beautiful walking trails. Anyone coming to visit? I'd happily go again.

Then home to the world's best roast chicken that was cooking all day in the world's best slow cooker. And roast potatoes that RTD said were every bit as good as AP's. I had some goose fat in reserve in the freezer.
