Lapping up the sunshine...

on our walk this afternoon.  
Alfred has a habit of suddenly stopping for no obvious reason (sometimes every two metres) on our local walks, and after a while it drives me crazy!  I know it's often to sniff and mark, but every two metres? And when he's got no 'marker' left? And sometimes he doesn't sniff at all but just stands there defiantly refusing to go on.  At first I was worried but now I know he's just hoping to be picked up and carried home like a king! It takes us ages to go half a mile and I have to go for another walk alone when we get home if I want to get any exercise for myself!  Also I want some continuous walking to keep his fitness up. Alfred I love you, but please, come on!! :-)
