Backward Glance

Bright and sunny start to the day but still cold.
First thing that has to be done when I get into the shop in the morning is to record the ambient temperature and the temperature of the fridge.
Ambient temperature was a chilly 8.1C so the heaters were put on full to raise the temperature for my staff arriving :-)
This is my backward glimpse of the street my shop is on after I had closed up for the evening.
Our shop is quite old dating back to the mid 1800's and before that it had been a sea captain's house.This pillar at the corner of the building is a relic from those times.
I liked the quietness of the street compared with the busy thoroughfare it is during the day.
