Worrying time

Young Dudley was taken out for a walk this morning by Sue and D2, with Emmy and Harley. Both Harley and Dudley are very keen on ball chasing and today was no exception. So the ball was thrown and they both hurtled after it and collided very heavily. Harley was oblivious but Dudley, being so much lighter, was totally laid out. He laid on the grass without moving and his head at a very strange angle for some time. He then twitched and screamed loudly and then shook himself and returned his head to the right angle. Several frantic phone calls later I picked them up and rushed them to the vets. D2 held Duds in a hold that kept him as still as possible, quite an achievement for a wriggler . like him.  The vet examined him and found he was OK but still gave him an anti inflammatory shot and recommended he should have peace and quite. We have now brought him home and he is back to normal, not quiet but jumping all over the place and running round and round in circles.None the worse for his adventure although we are £50 poorer
Not a good day but a happy ending. Strange how quickly one becomes attached to little animals.
