Lindisfarne

Very wet today. Headed south to try and find the sun, but it was a lost cause!

Detour over the causeway to Lindisfarne (No 3 was very impressed that the road was covered by sea sometimes). We walked up to see the upturned boats that were the inspiration for the roof of the Scottish Parliament building in Edinburgh. As you can see - it was a bit wet !

Travelled on to Seahouses where you can get a boat ride to the Farne Islands and Grace Darling's lighthouse - but it was too wet.

We came home and made a huge pot of Chilli and the grown ups drank Crabbies Ginger Beer !

A walk down to the beach tonight and a wee drink in the St Veda's hotel where we booked the surfing lessons for tomorrow.

A full house tonight and some very exceptional pianists !
