Snow Lace Fantasy

One of my favorite subjects, of course...trees.
This particular oak tree was in the backyard of my former home in Mill Hall, Pennsylvania and I snapped this photo of it on March 7, 2011- a brilliant sunny day that followed a pretty little pre-Spring snowfall, which blanketed the landscape, allowing every tree and bush to cast intricate lacy shadows on the ground below.

"There is nothing in the world more beautiful than the forest clothed to its very hollows in snow. It is the still ecstasy of nature, wherein every spray, every blade of grass, every spire of reed, every intricacy of twig, is clad with radiance."
