We've found ours, have you?
Busy, busy day today. Breakfast at 8, walk on beach a mile or so, two ways, beach by 10, lunch on beach, siesta, walk to village and ATM.
Met a young eagle. Dinner on beach. End of day!
Oh, forgot to mention swimming in super waves, and being fleeced so charmingly by the beach hawkers. I lost the rag at one point when there were at least six of them around us, all trying to sell simultaneously. They understood and backed off, briefly. Ended up buying 2 shirts, 3 sarongs, a bracelet, nails trimmed and feet scrubbed. All for £20 ish.
They have promised to leave us alone for the duration, but I suspect . . . .
These girls are all from Karnataka where the only work available is toiling in the fields, for 100 rupees a day. That's £1! So, whilst we could have made our puchases elsewhere, I feel we have contributed in some small way to supporting them. ( What bullshit - we wis robbed.)
