A Startled Heron

I wonder if I frightened him as much as he frightened me when he suddenly flew up in front of me at the estuary today?

I have two photos -  (one in the extras.) Both show the heron with some sharpness and some blur. Is the amount of blur acceptable to indicate movement or is there too much so it just looks out of focus? I have changed my mind on this several times this afternoon so I am throwing it over to anyone who might like to comment.

There are some great macros turning up for the Tiny Tuesday challenge - I am going to have a hard job choosing.
