Tiny Tuesday in Dusky Sound.

I was given two objects for Tiny Tuesday.  They were both found when walking on the shore to visit the site where Captain James Cook and his crew stayed in April 1773.  Captain Cook had been exploring the southern latitudes trying to confirm the great south continent was there.  It had been a tough journey in the Antartic seas and he sailed the Resolution into Pickersgill Harbour to rest and make repairs.  They cleared about an acre of forest and the stumps can still be seen under the regrowth.  A forge was set up for iron work, tents for the sail makers and a workshop for the cooper.  He brewed the first beer using rimu and manuka leaves.  He stayed for five weeks.
The flower is an Easter Orchid and Maria took it back to where it came from and replanted it.  I don't know what kind of snail it is in the extras but it is very attractive with the gold in it's centre.
