Oskar turns 11!
Busy day. My book club met at my house this afternoon (that means I provide lunch :-) ) After frosting Oskar’s Deadpool cake (made it last night) for his family birthday party at his house tonight. He was so excited he called me (facetime) before dinner so he could see the cake before it got there. The whole family of 16 showed up with presents (lots of avenger type legos to make and clay to sculpt and a whole Lakers basketball uniform to wear) and I think he loved it all. He’s our family guy. We may have all shortened our lives by eating that red and black frosting, but heck, Nanna had her orders and the birthday boy was delighted… (and the book club had their own bit of cake too)
Will post some more for family tomorrow on flickr and also report on our book which made for a very interesting discussion about photography. Mary Coin by Marisa Silver, about the famous migrant mother photo by Dorothea Lange taken in 1936… too tired to do it tonight…and it was Oskar’s day!
