New Strap

I was presented with a new camera strap at the weekend so I've, by now, given it a good try-out. It's make by Peak Design and is called "Slide".

The great advantage of the new strap is that it has little quick-release buttons that swap it easily from attachment from camera lugs to tripod plate so it is much more comfortable to wear over the head in sling-style.

While you're walking along you can have the strap tight to keep the camera steady at your side  then, if you need to, the buckle lets you lengthen the strap as you lift the camera to your face. You don't need to remove the attachment if you want to use your tripod but if you were doing a long session with the tripod the strap quickly un-clips.

A very pleasing well-made product!
