Middle Row
I had a meeting at The Brambles this morning to discuss a new web site I’ve been setting up for the local church. There weren’t really many photo opportunities, but I went into town to the bank while I was up there, and found this in the centre of the renovated market place - I'd not seen it before. Apparently during the work on the market place, in mid-2014 they did an excavation of the area known as Middle Row; the buildings which had been there were demolished in the 19th century. I never knew about Middle Row until today, and the excavations in 2014 weren't visible amongst all the other work in the market place, so this was all news to me. I must try to get to Dudley Archive to see if they have any more information on the subject.
The green door is a photo I took next to the entrance to The Brambles, before I found the more interesting subject in the market place.
