Whooper Swan

Driving to Redcastle along the shore road this afternoon I came upon this Whooper Swan swimming in the direction of Redcastle, so I parked up when I got there and walked back to take a couple of shots and also got a nice 3 mile round trip walking back through the castle grounds. Two jobs in one, photos and a good brisk walk as well. This Swan is singular, it lost its mate three to four years ago and has never paired up again. It is said they pair up for life!
