After the floods the sun

Maybe holidays should be uniformly brilliant or steadily pleasing. I have noticed that there is a pattern for a best day/defining moment of the holiday.

Today was probably that day. On sister's recommendation, we went to Slapton Sands in a kind of round about manner. The beach itself was the nicest in terms of the elements and general shape, well in my opinion. The weather gods were with us in fact it was major sunburn weather.

After a three hour stint, we wandered back for some food and then I had t otake our visitor to the station from where she would be getting back to London.

A farewell hug, a stubbed toe of shoe against bare big toe and a nice cracked nail. I shall avoid posting the image, it was quite nasty.

So nearly the defining moment.
