The Glass Pavilion
7.9C and mostly cloudy but not at all dull. Light Easterly Breeze.
Apothecary7's day off today and we were quite busy.
First thing we went into M&S at City Quay/Gallagher Retail Park in Dundee for some groceries then we drove through to Broughty Ferry to meet up with friends CannyScot and his wife EleanorRuth for tea/coffee and goodies at The Glass Pavilion (now known as The Sands) out by Broughty Ferry beach. Much blethering ensued. Maeve the Deerhound had a comfort break both before and after and waited in the car during.
From there Apothecary7 and I went back into Broughty Ferry and bought two rugs for the house in Campbeltown. The house has wood floors, except the kitchen which has slate tiles, and we don't want Maeve sliding all over them. Rugs will be required.
Another short move for the car then we went to Eduardo Alessandro Studios to pick up a painting of boats in Ullapool harbour by Apothecary7 which was in for framing. We plan to hang it with an identically framed picture of boats in Ullapool harbour in the hall of the house in Campbeltown. Nearby will be a smaller painting, again framed in the same way.
We went back home for lunch. In the afternoon the estimator came from a removal company and there were discussions of dates and logistics and routes of travel and he went round the house and made notes. We expect his quote to be with us very soon. When he had gone we took Maeve out for a walk. Just a 2 mile loop down to the shore road and round the main road and back home. Very necessary for clearing heads.
